The “No such thing as a free lunch!” Tour
Day Trip to Capitaf, the Vermont summer home of Milton and Rose Friedman
Thursday, November 2, 2023, 9:00 am – 3:30 pm EST

Let’s celebrate in an atmosphere that evokes critical-thinking and policy change! Join us for a day trip to Milton and Rose Friedman’s Capitaf – named for Capitalism and Freedom. Just a 90-minute bus ride from Bretton Woods to the majestic Vermont countryside, we’d like you to be inspired in the same location where they wrote their seminal book, Free To Choose. Tour the property and see where college students and intellectuals meet to discuss Milton Friedman’s ideas for applying free market principles to today’s public policy issues. Consider the thoughts of Aaron Director as you peruse his personal, one thousand-volume library in The Robert H. Bork Law and Economics Room.

Our program includes presentations by experts on residential learning, the rich history of economics in this region, and a special look at school choice from one of today’s leading experts.

All registered guests will be entered into a special drawing to win some of these fabulous prizes (must be present to win):

  • One-week stay at Capitaf (subject to availability)
  • Up to four scholarships to send college students to Capitaf residential colloquiums
  • A rare, autographed copy of Free To Choose signed by both Milton and Rose Friedman from the collection of Bob Chitester
  • And more!
